Abstract

The present study animated to investigate the effect of variables on modern weaving technology adoption decisions in the handloom industry. The primary data is collected with a semi-structured schedule and analyzed the factors influencing the target variable (modern technology adoption) by using a Binary logistic regression model. Results show that family labor, annual income, and pucca house played an important positive role, and age has a significant negative role in the adoption decision of both owners and contract weavers’ households. Paper urges the government to provide pucca houses and access to credit to weavers to increase the technology adoption rate.
