Scientific and Theoretical Aspects of Urban Agriculture in Agroeconomic and Geographical Research

Abstract

This article is devoted to the agro-economic-geographic researches of the suburban economy, classical and modern studies of the scientific-theoretical basis of the economic geographical aspects of the formation and development of urban agglomerations as a result of the urbanization process of social division of labor are highlighted. The impact of various socio-economic relations characteristic of the historical stages of the society on the formation, development characteristics, function, and specialization of the suburbs has been studied. The importance of agro-economic-geographical criteria in the territorial arrangement of social-production infrastructure objects in the territorial and network structure of the suburban economy, population settlement systems is revealed.
