Results: In total 102 patients were enrolled and randomized to receive Niruryadi Gulika ayurvadic therapy (n=80), Placebo (n=80) where treatment group showed significant reduction in HbA1c, FBS and PPBS. There was a significant reduction in FBS (p=0.001) and HbA1c levels (p0.001) in the treatment group compared to the placebo group. In addition, after the administration of Niruryadi gulika (poly-herbal formulation), changes in FBS and HbA1c levels remained significant. Furthermore, PPBS levels had more reduction in the Niruryadi gulika (poly-herbal formulation), group compared to the placebo group; however, its changes were not significant.
