Abstract

Micronutrients such as minerals and trace elements are necessary for human health. They do display clearly defined biological roles. Widespread issues with human health are associated with deficiencies in certain micronutrients. Type 2 diabetes is characterised by considerable losses of critical micronutrients. The evaluation includes the lesser-known micronutrients, such as magnesium, Zinc. This review provides a summary of the micronutrient status, mechanism linking diabetes in type 2 diabetics rather than a meta-analysis.
