Objective: The goal of the current study was to evaluate the total flavonoids, phenolic content, antioxidant activity, and antibacterial activity of a methanolic extract of Justicia adhatoda L Whole part.
Material method: The whole parts of Justicia adhatoda L plant materials were collected, cleaned, shade dried, and coarsely grinded in powdered form. The coarsely powdered powder of Justicia adhatoda L was used for maceration extraction. The phytochemical test, total flavonoid, total phenolic content, antioxidant activity, and antibacterial activity were performed.
Results: The assessment of phytochemical test, total flavonoid, total phenolic content, antioxidant activity, and antibacterial activity in-vitro techniques. The antioxidant levels of Justicia adhatoda L. whole parts of methanolic extract (JAWME) showed significant property.
Conclusion: The analysis' findings indicated that Justicia adhatoda L. whole part's methanolic extract showed potential therapeutic and anti-microbial activities. The author team disclosed that additional study is required for the finding of novel bioactive molecules.
