An Analysis of the Decorative Art Language of Chinese Fine Brush Painting

Abstract

Based on the works with expressive characteristics in Chinese fine brushwork and with reference to the exploration of the application and development of expressive characteristics  in creation, this paper proposes the expressive characteristics of contemporary fine  brushwork.

The research of this paper is divided into three parts:

1. it introduces the decorative characteristics and artistic value of Chinese meticulous painting, and explores the expression depth and spiritual level of meticulous painting.
2. Comb the development and change of decorative language in Chinese meticulous painting, and understand the development trend of decorative painting in ancient and modern Chinese painting.
3. Analyze the decorative forms of Chinese fine brushwork painting, and explore that making the theme treatment more contemporary requires expressionism to have the core spirit, emphasize the subjective intention, and endow painting with more spiritual concepts.
