A field experiment was conducted to standardize effect of inter and intra row spacing on yield attributes and yield of Phyllanthus (Phyllanthus amarus L.) during kharif season 2018-19 and 2019-20 towards development of new agrotechnology at CIMAP Research Centre, Pantnagar. For this purpose, four spacing of transplanting were evaluated and their responses were ascertained with respect to yield attributes and economic yield of Phyllanthus. The experiment consisted of four treatment of spacing for the transplanting of Phyllanthus as T1- 20*20 cm, T2- 30*20 cm, T3- 40*20 cm & T4- 50*20 cm row to row & plant to plant respectively with three replicates. The observation recorded revealed that, transplanting of Phyllanthus at 50*20 cm row to row and plant to plant respectively (T4) recorded significantly highest yield attributes and economic yield like; plant height (116.0 cm), number of branches (34.0), fresh herb yield (110.25 q ha-1), dry herb yield (34.95 q ha-1), seed yield (2.82 q ha-1), as compared to T3, and T2; and the lowest was observed in T1 plant height (89.0 cm), number of branches (14.0), fresh herb yield (54.92 q ha-1), dry herb yield (17.73 q ha-1), seed yield (1.50 q ha-1), with spacing (20*20) cm spacing (T1) during 2018-19 & also similar trends were recorded in second year under validation trial 2019-20.
