Ancillary Services from Advanced Metering Infrastructure (ASAMI) in Distributed Renewable Energy Network – A Brief Review

Abstract

The broad view of the smart grid, ancillary services benefits from the smart grid, and enhanced metering infrastructure in numerous developed and developing nations were described in this study. Renewable energy sources were gathered and discussed in several developed and emerging countries. Each element's benefits and downsides were also examined. Based on the past and current conditions of these countries, the problems, and challenges they confront were highlighted. Each country made several recommendations that were stressed. Thus, an overview of smart grid implementation, development, maintenance, and challenges were generally presented in this paper. This enables and provides an overview for engineering students and novice researchers to comprehend the smart grid and its components on a basic and surface level.
