Abstract

The study aimed to know the level of assimilation of language skills by the Islamic University of Perlis students, according to the variable of academic qualification and duration of study of the Arabic language. Analytical and understanding of language skills teaching, the results of the study showed that most of the students are not able to identify sub-ideas from general ideas or suggest a title, or general idea or sub-idea to express the content of a text or an audio dialogue, and it is difficult for some of them to communicate in Arabic with their colleagues while participating in classroom practices They are not descriptive, and they do not write texts or ideas from the lesson in correct writing formed with their parsing signs.

In light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were presented, including the use of multimedia in acquiring language skills among students of the Islamic University of Perlis Malaysia, and interest in teaching language skills to students of the Islamic University of Perlis Malaysia, using multimedia because it has an impact on the hearts of students, and their motivation to learn, as the curriculum was adopted. The lecturers must diversify the ways and methods of providing language skills lessons, and the lecturer must adhere to the use of comprehensive language, both orally and in writing, and encourage students to practice language skills inside and outside the university.
