Background: Gestational trophoblastic disease covers a wide spectrum of benign and malignant conditions that arise from pregnancies.
Materials and method: This was a prospective study conducted in the department of
Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Evaluation of all the patients with gestational trophoblastic diseases were done and their histological and clinical profile were recorded.
Conclusion: A simple beta-hCG test and early pregnancy USG may help in early recognition of abnormal pregnancy like gestational trophoblastic disease. In the present study early diagnosis and management has proved to decrease in mortality and serious morbidity successfully.

Inspection and per speculum examination was performed to access the height of uterus and adenexal pathology. Routine investigations were performed for each patient. Serum beta hCG serial estimation of serum beta HCG and time taken for the serum beta hCG to normalize to <5 mIU/dl was noted. USG, chest X ray and CT brain was performed in patients with pulmonary and neurological symptoms.
