Abstract

Scientific research is devoted to the choice of the optimal method of conservative, medical and surgical treatment in premature newborns with unaffected ductus arteriosus.Materials and methods. The study analyzed the case histories of 102 premature newborns with this heart defect who were in the" Regional perinatal center " of Zhambyl region in the period 2015-2019. Based on comprehensive clinical and instrumental studies, newborns were divided into groups by gestational age, weight, and depending on the characteristics of the open arterial duct. The results of conservative and surgical treatment were analyzed, risk factors and possible complications were identified.Conclusion. A hemodynamically significant open ductus arteriosus requires prolonged ventilation, which is the cause of the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Indications for surgical removal of ODA in premature newborns are the hemodynamic significance of ODA, the ineffectiveness of conservative treatment, and dependence on ventilators.
